Edward's body was donated to the Anatomical Board, Creighton University. He is preceded in death by his wife Alice and son Albert.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws Michael and Kathleen, and Gary and Christine; and daughter and son-in-law Pam and Darren Merrill; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother Frank (Marianne) Young, sister Rita (Harold) Gifford; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Nebraska Anatomical Board
