Carolyn J. Banks, 78

Carolyn Jane Banks (Lantefield) was born November 19, 1946 and died March 24, 2025 at 78 years old.

Carolyn Jane Banks was a beloved mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was born in Omaha but her life took her overseas to Japan for a couple years but she returned back to Omaha, specifically South Omaha where she lived and raised her children. Carolyn loved her family more than anything and enjoyed making the holidays and big events special. She relished her role as Grandma and could be considered one of the best. She was also the devoted wife to Phillip Banks and a loyal sister, friend, and aunt. She took great pride in her home and creating good family times. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and playing video games. Some of her favorites included Super Mario Brothers, Castlevanie, Tetris, and Zelda. Her passing has left a hole that will never be filled. We will always treasure the many memories we made with her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Agnes Lantefield, her brother Paul Lantefield, her sisters Frances Albina Linderman and Judy Ann Budka. Her daughters Kimberly Ann Bellus and Jenae Katherine Marr. 

She is survived by her husband Phillip Banks; her sisters Lorine Lantefield and Phyliss (Rick) Pfeifer; her children Kathleen Rooney, Michelle Schram, Pauline (Richard) Adams, Tim Lashum, Jamie (Elizabeth) Banks, Jason (Janette) Banks, and Samantha (Christopher) Bacon; her grandchildren Emily Schram, Elizabeth (Darren) Vacek, Richard Adams, Thomas (Natalei) Adams, Steven (Kerry) Daggett, Seth Banks, Haley (Michael) Banks, Jonathan Love, Natalee Banks, Christopher (Melissa) Bacon, Joseph Bacon, Sophie Bacon, and Gabriel Morrison; great grandchildren Matthew and Avery Bacon and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
