Dorothy J. Kazor, 78

Dorothy Jane (Moeller) Kazor, age 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Irene Moeller, and her brothers, Jimmy Moeller, Howard Lindgren, and Wayne Moeller.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Tom; son, Jeff Kazor (Jen); daughter, Jenny Mariotti (Brian); cherished grandchildren, Josephine Kazor, Zane Kazor, Stella Kazor, and Ruby Mariotti; brother, Jerry Moeller (Ginny); and many dear friends and extended family.

Dorothy was known for her kindness, generosity, and deep love for those around her…especially her grandchildren. Fondly remembered as the “lunch lady” at Holy Ghost and St. Mary’s Schools, she took great pride in preparing homemade meals that nourished both body and soul. Her cooking has become somewhat legendary in many circles, with former students still reminiscing about the excitement for her homemade pizzas on Pizza Day. However, Dorothy’s passion extended far beyond the food or a job, she created a warm and welcoming space for all, ensuring everyone felt cared for, valued, and when needed, wrapped in a warm hug to remind them they were loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family requsts donations be made in Dorothy's memory to the Women's Club and /or St. Vincent DePaul Society of Holy Ghost Church.
