Scott was born on December 9, 1966 to Charles and Sharon (Cain) Saxton in Omaha, Nebraska.
After graduating from Bryan High School, Scott attended Bellevue College for baseball.
Scott welcomed his first child, Erica Caballero, in 1985.
Scott wed Nanette Welniak in 1989 and together had Chase Saxton.
Scott wed Kris Mollner in 2000 and together had Maci and Luke, and Scott gained step daughter, Jordan.
Scott was known for his passion of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed spending weekends with family and friends. Scott's enthusiasm for sports continued as he watched his kids play. Erica was the first to inherit Scott's athleticism; she played volleyball in high school. She refrained from telling Scott about her volleyball games because she was too nervous for him to watch; but she would find in the bleachers anyhow. He maintained his love and passion for baseball, watching his sons, Chase and Luke, play through high school and college. Maci was his go-to girl. She was always running errands with him and going on whatever adventures he had planned up for the day. Scott enjoyed family time at the cabin on the Missouri River, sports, cooking, and late-night movies with his kids.
Scott is survived by father, Charlie Saxton; daughter Erica Caballero, son Chase (Conner) Saxton, daughter Maci Saxton, son Luke Saxton, and step-daughter Jordan (Ben) Radel; siblings Shannon (Dennis) Sempek and Kristy (Jeff) Baker); grandchildren Charlee Caballero, Shae Saxton, Auggie Saxton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Saxton. |
