Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Cherek, parents, Lee & Agnes Nittler, granddaughter Jessica Lee Haynie, and great granddaughter Drew Madison Haynie.

Survived by daughters Kathy Nanfito, Chris Yeshnowski (Gary), and Corinne Cherek;
sons Joe (Barb), Jeff (Mindy), John (Marcy), and Greg (Carrie) Cherek;
21 grandchildren
20 great grandchildren
1 great-great grandchild with 1 on the way;
Sisters, Roberta Mullen, Nancy Byrne, and Judy (Scott) Groff;
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dorothy a/ka/ Dode or Gramma D, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

An independent, stubborn, and strong woman to her last day, she was always a woman of faith, praying fervently. Devoted to her family, at the drop of hat, she met her family’s needs. A complicated but simple person, she spent most of her latter years playing solitaire, doing crosswords puzzles, and a daily routine of feeding the birds, and squirrels. Dedicated to Mother Earth, she saved everything.
