Felipe Alcocer Mancilla, 88
Felipe Alcocer Mancilla was born on November 17, 1935, in Linares, Nuevo Leon Mexico, to Froylan Mancilla and Maria Alcocer.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mancilla; and is survived by his sons, Philip and Aaron.
Felipe is also preceded in death by his son José and survived by Elida Narvaez and his sons; Rogelio, Jesus, and Froylan.
Felipe is survived by Santoy Marie Puresa and his sons and daughters; Felipe II, Blanca, Bertha and Jose.
Felipe is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Felipe ventured out on his own at a young age, arriving in the Midwest in the early 1960s, where he worked in labor until his retirement. He was known for his deep, meaningful conversations, his distinctive Norteño style, his love of horse racing, and his sharp sense of humor. Though there are countless quotes attributed to him, he is best remembered for sharing his life’s lessons and concluding with humor, often reminding others, "Don't take this life too seriously."
