Frank J. Walters, 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, left us on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Frank, a son of the late Frank and Mary Walters was born December 3, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska. He had two older sisters, Betty and Eleanor and together they grew up in South Omaha.
Frank graduated from Omaha South High School in 1964. He later attended a trade school where he earned his certificate for electronics repair in 1966. Somewhere along the way he met Norene and they were married September 14, 1968. They had two children, Michelle and Tony.
He enjoyed fixing anything with a motor and loved to pass his knowledge along to others. He loved to fish, ride ATV's, bartend at weddings and such, and taking videos of any and all special occasions. But most of all, he loved his polka music. (Big Joe Polka Show on Sundays.) Spending time with his grandchildren meant a lot to him.
Frank spent most of his life in Omaha until October 2022 when he moved to Ft. Calhoun and to Autumn Point Assisted Living. Then most recently to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair, NE where he resided until God had a bigger plan on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Preceded in death by his wife Norene; parents Frank and Mary (Slaby) Walters; sisters Betty Muellner and Eleanor Wolf.
Survived by children Michelle Walters and Tony (Virginia) Walters; grandchildren Alexus and Andrick Lindsey, and Madison and Jacob Walters; in-laws Lois Feddersen and Marlin (Sharon) Blakely; along with several nieces and nephews.
