Delores A. Hindman, 84

Delores A. Hindman was born August 11, 1939, to Henrietta and Rudolph Petersen, at home on the Maass family dairy farm in Sarpy County.  She was the only daughter and had four brothers, Lloyd, Wesley, Rollin, and Lester.  She attended Omaha South High School and graduated in 1957.  She lived her entire life in Sarpy County and South Omaha, Nebraska.  
She married James Chlupacek and had six children, James Jr., David, Donna, and Dale.  She also had two sons, Daniel and Johnny, that passed away as infants.  She later was remarried to Mel Hindman.
Delores held many jobs which included being a tow truck driver, a waitress, restaurant manager, security guard, and finally dispatcher and bookkeeper for Neff Towing.  She worked her entire life until she retired from her position at Neff Towing.
Her family blessed her with fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.  She loved cooking for her family and hosting family events in her backyard.
She passed from this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Papillion Manor Nursing Home.

Preceded in death by sons Daniel, Johnny, and Dale Chlupacek; parents Rudolph and Henrietta Petersen; brothers Lloyd, Rollin, Wesley, and Lester Petersen

Survived by children James Chlupacek Jr. – Omaha, David (Cindy) Chlupacek – Pisgah, IA, and
Donna (Bill) Malfait – Elkhorn, NE; grandkids Steven, Kristopher, David, Heather (Tyler), Vanessa, Melissa (Doug), Jeannie (Danny), Alexandra, Yenesia, Carlos, Margarita, Courtney (Nick), Matt, and Jason (Priti); 21 great grandkids; 3 great-great grandkids; sisters-in-law Janet Petersen and Judy Petersen


Visitation Monday, February 26th, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Tuesday, February 27th, 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. Interment 2:30 p.m. Bohemian Cemetery.
