Daniel C. "Dan" McDonald, 80
Daniel (Dan) Clinton McDonald sadly passed away at home surrounded by family on January 18, 2024
He fought a courageous battle with kidney disease and strokes. He was born in Stone County, Missouri to Clinton and Wanda (Smith) McDonald on February 22,1943.
He was the second of eight children, and the oldest boy. He and his family moved to Omaha where Dan graduated from South High School. Dan met and married the love of his life, Linda Greear. Dan and Linda had and raised three children together, they were married 48 years.
Dan's jobs over the years included bricklayer and car mechanic. He always loved working on and restoring cars, even in his last years, he would watch car shows. One of his favorites was "Mr. Goodpliers".
He enjoyed listening to country music and Johnny Cash. He loved his dogs - his last two were Ruby and Zoey.
Dan had a quiet but strong demeanor. He earned the nickname "Sweet Dan" by many others that knew him. It was not uncommon for his daughters to hear how much people loved their dad.
Dan leaves behind his daughters Tammy Andersen and Christina (Gary) Graham; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings Lynda (Amadeo) Torres, Ed (Tammy) McDonald, Randy (Becky) McDonald, and Angel Breckenridge.
Preceded in death by his wife Linda; son Daniel McDonald; son-in-law Michael Andersen; parents Clinton and Wanda McDonald; siblings Barbara Johnson, Gene McDonald, and Joyce Baker.
Dan will be missed by so many,
