William "Bill" Svendsen, 89

He was preceded in death by his parents Chris and Angeline Svendsen; and his brother John Svendsen.

Bill was loved by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending Tuesday nights with family and was always cracking jokes.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the Omaha World Herald.

He is survived by his sister Joan Brust; five children, Steve Svendsen, Gary Svendsen, Laurie (Rich) Zeleny, Susie Svendsen and Jill (Phil) Workman; 13 grandchildren: Heather, Steven, Samantha, Michael, Austin, Richard, Zachary, Shane, Amber, Andrea, Jenna, Shannon & Alec; 15 great grandchildren; his beloved dog Comet.
