Maribel "Belly" Vallin, 29

She is survived by her beloved sons, Carlos and Isaac Hernandez-Vallin, daughter Madelyn Flores-Vallin, parents Jesus and María Vallin, siblings Janet Soltero (Antonio), Eduardo Vallin (Angelica), Emerita Rodriguez and Maira Guzmán (Fidel). She also leaves behind her beloved nieces Karina Vallin & Emily Guzmán, nephews Jesse, David & Aaron Soltero, Eduardo Jr & Alexander Vallin and Adrián Guzmán with many more aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family.

Maribel never wanted to be defined only by her addiction and mistakes. She was a beautiful, loving woman who fell into its grip. She would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with her smile even while struggling with her demons. She loved her family deeply, especially her three beautiful children: Carlos, Isaac & Madelyn. Maribel believed strongly in second chances, maybe because she craved another chance for herself to recover the time lost with her children. Her message to those struggling with an addiction or mental health illness is go get help. It’s not worth losing time with your family.

The memory of her smile, caring heart and love for fashion and make-up will never be forgotten. Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her absence. We take comfort in knowing that weeks leading up to her death she gave her life back to Jesus.


Following the burial, the family invites you to a luncheon at the Bellevue Christian Center, 1400 Harvell Dr., Bellevue, NE 68005
