Preceded in death by parents, Consuelo and Jesus Hernandez; sisters, Guadalupe Sosa, Maria Bernadita; brothers, Jorge Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez Jr.; niece, Amada Calzada

Survived by sons, Mercedes Mejia, and Rosendo Rangel; daughter, Ambar Rangel; 9 grandchildren, Daniel, Gabriella, and Jackson Mejia, Vicente, Ivan, and Mya Rangel, Gracella, Emiliana, and Rosalena Journey; sisters, Bonnie Hernandez, and Consuelo Calzada; brothers, Antonio, Miguel, Victorio, Luciano, and Alejandro Hernandez; along with many, many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Josefina will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, family member, and friend with a huge heart and “life of the party” personality. She never left anything unsaid and always wore her heart on her sleeve. She was greatly loved by those around her.

Everyone who knew her knew that there was no greater love in her life than the unconditional love that she had for her family. As a mother and abuela, her children and grandbabies meant everything to her. There was nothing in this life that she wouldn’t do to make them happy or keep them safe and it was the greatest blessing to have her in this lifetime.

To her, family was (and will always be) everything.

The memories that she left with us will be greatly cherished and she will be truly, truly missed.
