Kathy J. Hrubsky, 79

Preceded in death by son Scott; parents Thomas and Mary Hough; sister Vicki Evers and niece Amy Evers

Survived by husband Edward "Ed" Hrubsky and daughter-in-law Renae Hrubsky; brothers Tom, Phil and Dennis (Pam) Hough; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on October 8, 1944. She lived there except for a short time she lived in Underwood, Iowa.

Kathy met Ed while working at Mutual of Omaha. They were married in Omaha on January 24, 1967. They both continued working at Mutual of Omaha until their retirements. They each had 35 years of service.

During Kathy's working years, she and Ed purchased their cabin in Lower Bottle Lake in Minnesota in 1986. In 1997 they had a new house constructed and moved in the following year. In 2011, Kathy and Ed moved to Minnesota as residents and have lived there until the present time.

Kathy thoroughly enjoyed the after Mass Sunday coffee and donuts with her lady friends. She always told me of the latest gossip they talked about. Her most cherished times were sitting in her chair on the deck and watching the birds.

Kathy was truly an exceptional wife and mother. The loss of Scott was very hard for her.
