William Joseph "Bill" Franks, 67

Bill passed away peacefully on his 67th birthday, July 11, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bill was born on July 11, 1956 to Richard and Shirley (Bartek) Franks, Sr.

Bill graduated from Omaha South High in 1974 and worked at the Kellogg's Company his whole life, until he retired a few years ago.

Bill enjoyed his hobby of painting and other artistic things. He was an awesome painter. He also loved watching old time western movies, especially the ones with John Wayne. More than that he loved to sing or play his harmonica to songs of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson just to say a couple of his favorites, whenever he was enjoying life.

Bill was mostly known for his quick-clever-witty humor and awesome clever come backs to make you laugh! He always enjoyed making people laugh. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart. He had many family and friends and anyone who knew him loved him!

Bill is survived by his life-time girlfriend, Shar Stephenson; brothers, Rich (Chris) Franks, Jr., Jim (Debbie) Franks, Gary (Renee) Franks, and Mike (Felipe) Franks; his sister, Nesi/Sam (Don) Phipps;
uncle Larry (Kay) Bartek; and many, many nephews and nieces and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Rich and Shirley; grandparents, Fritz and Edna Bartek, Pierce and Anna Franks; and many other wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins.
