Robert B. "Bobby" Golden, 82

Bobby was born in West Okoboji, Iowa and passed away peacefully in LaVista, Nebraska at the age of 82 surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby lived in Iowa for most of his life. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1964 and served in Vietnam during the war. He spent his adult life in construction and was the owner of Golden Construction. He also once co-owned Playland Park and Racetrack with Gerald Leazenby. He later helped his wife Debbie run Sam’s Italian Villa in Council Bluffs. Aside from spending time with his family that he loved, he enjoyed auto racing, auctions, flea markets, traveling, and all desserts.

Bobby had a big heart and would drop what he was doing to help those that were in need.

Bobby is preceded in death by parents Woodie and Bernaline Golden; brothers Kenneth (Annie) Golden, Allen (Donna) Golden.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 21 years Debbie Golden; sons Michael (Allison) Newburn, Daniel (Emily) Newburn, and Ryan Newburn; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Aidan, Colin, Alexxa, Jaxxin, Alex; brother Gary (Beverly) Golden; sisters Norma Golden, Linda (John) Barris; nieces Bambi Wilson, Debbie Davies Vicki Bailey; nephews Steve Golden, Jordan Golden, Adam Perales and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.

Following the Graveside Service on Friday, a luncheon will be held at the DAV - Disabled American Veterans Social Hall, 4515 F Street, Omaha.
