Michael James Philbrick, age 60 years, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

Mike was born and raised in South Omaha where he dedicated his life to serving others. Mike was a devoted father, a beloved grandfather, and wonderful caretaker to his chickens. He was a hardworking man that loved to give back to the community. When he was not busy with work, children, grandchildren, and chickens, he spent most of his time volunteering and supporting the Holy Ghost Parish (his second home). He was also the head of the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry where he made sure he could help as many people as possible.

He is preceded in death by parents James and Virginia (Atkinson) Philbrick; sister Gail Jones; and brother James P. Philbrick.

Survived by children Victoria (Tyler) Duncan, Michael Karasek (Christina Sullivan), Jennifer Karasek (Joel Antunez), and Mary Philbrick; grandchildren Ethan, Lauren, Michael, Joshua, Jayden, Ava, Carolena, Alejandro, Marley, Liam, Ezekeill, Maliky, Gabriel; and 17 chickens; sisters Christine (Ben) Lassek and Jacqueline (Chris) Adams; brother Joseph (Patricia) Philbrick; sister-in-law Suzanne Philbrick.
