Dorothy L. "Dolly" Pesek, 81
Preceded in death by husband Rich; parents Raymond and Dorothy McMichael; sisters Rosemarie and Mary Anna.
Survived by sons Rick (Cheryl) and Don (Martha) Pesek; daughters Kathy (Jim) Lee and Jodi Pesek; 12 grandchildren: Jenny, Erin, Cameron, Ricky, Olivia, Nate, Ross, Nick, Katie, Jimmie, Ray and Lilly; 10 great grandchildren: Logan, Jake, Cole, Landon, Carter, Lilah, Molly, Alex, Gabby, Max; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Although our hearts are heavy that she is no longer with us, Dolly is now with her Rich. They met in second grade at Jungmann School and by 5th grade he gave her a promise ring. That promise grew into the knowledge that they were meant for each other and resulted in a lifetime of love. They were married October 4,1958 and were three months away from celebrating their 62nd anniversary when he passed in 2020. Rich and her family meant everything to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved supporting her family’s interests and accomplishments and attended countless athletic, recreational, and educational events/activities; this brought her immeasurable joy. Dolly also enjoyed reading, the KC Royals and Creighton baseball/basketball teams, spoiling her “fur-grand baby” Millie, as well as knitting and embroidering items with love that will be cherished for generations. She was the heart of our family and will be forever in our hearts.
