You were such a riot when Rosie introduced us. Every time we had a pot luck at work she would always say my mother in law is making mine and we always looked forward to it. You will be missed my dear. I’ll miss your crazy comments on Facebook and all your support you’ve given me over the years. Rest well and watch over Rosie and your son. They loved you so.

Even though it’s been many years since I last seen Michaela, there’s no doubt after listening to Diane and others talk about her, that she grew up continuing to be a caring, kind, generous and loving person. All the things her Mother and siblings were and still are.

I know she will be missed immensely, but her love and memories will shine through all of those she left behind.

Rest in peace Michaela. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Today I said goodbye to my work pal and friend of 26 years. We had some good times at work and even better times after work when we would sneak out to the bars for a couple of cocktails.
She always called me her favorite Icelandic friend (I was of course her only Icelandic friend!) 😊 She also called me Hoolie or Hooligan, but that’s another story! My maiden name is Júliana Ragna Garđarsdóttir and she would always try and pronounce it as it is in Icelandic and fail miserably because she couldn’t roll her R’s as we do in Iceland. We would laugh so hard when I was trying to make her make those hard R sounds.
Michaela was an excellent cook and in all those years that we worked together I was never hungry! She would either give me ľ of her leftovers or the lunch she would order. I don’t think I ever saw her clean her plate! 😊 One of my favorite dishes she made was her chipotle chicken. mmmm mmmm mmmm! She gave me the recipe, but I cannot duplicate her awesome dish! The other thing that we were always excited about in the office was when she would make egg salad! The first time I saw it I thought, oh no… way too much Mayo, but when I tasted it, I was in heaven. I also have not been able to duplicate that! There were so many dishes that we loved from her, too many to count and remember and never will be duplicated.
She always used to say “Ride with the angels” when I would tell her that Eddy and I were going out on our motorcycles, now she’ll be one of those angels riding with us. She was fun and loving and a great friend and I’m sorry that she had to leave us so soon.
I’ll miss you girl. Rest in peace my friend.

Our deepest sympathy to the Adams & Savatovic families for your loss of the lady you loved so much.

My life’s earliest memories begin with the Savatovic Family. Memories of St. Anthony’s, Upland pool, Bryan High School, Bishops Cafeteria, US National Bank... all include Michaela. There is a term of endearment that comes to mind when I think of her, and it was “You Beach” which is how we greeted each other back in the day and anytime I saw her over the years. May she rest in peace from the best seat in the house.

My dear baby sister....you have found peace! Our family is rocked to the core, but we know that those pearly gates swung wide open last night and Dad and Mom were there to usher you in to heaven. I am going to miss you beyond measure, and going home to Omaha will not be the same without you there. Feed the squirrels, birds and butterflies just like to did on 37th Street. Watch over us down here and visit often. I LOVE YOU BABY SISTER, you will always and forever be my baby sister!
