Patti was a second mother to me and I have many fond memories of her from my childhood. I remember her as caring and kind, generous and loving. She loved the church, her husband, her kids and my cat Rambo. A wonderful cook. She kept an immaculate house and was a phenomenal cook. Her texas sheet cake was my absolute favorite. I spent so much time at her house as a young child because she looked after me while my parents would work, and once I started school I continued to wander over for dinner. It was not uncommon for my dad to come knocking asking "is my daughter here?" I was always welcome anytime. I was family. Mama Patti is what I called her. She helped to lay the foundation for me to become who I am today. Mama Patti, I will always love you and will never forget the bond we shared. Sunday, February 4, 2024 |
