Tom was the salt of the earth. A true gentleman and a wonderful person. He will be missed by all.

In 1978, in Omaha, Tom took me under his wing and helped me begin to learn and understand the commercial foodservice business as a factory sales rep. As time passed I moved away and we ran into each other generally at trade shows and it was always a big smile and a few chuckles as we reminisced about the Hockenberg brothers days. I will always be indebted to Tom. I extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the family of this just great guy.

There was never a time at any industry function that Tom didn't have a big smile and a hearty handshake, and a few minutes to play catch-up. He was one of our industry's icons
who, whenever I saw him, made me remember why I chose the Foodservice industry for my career.

Words cannot express the sorrow that I felt hearing the news of Tom Sr.'s passing. My heartfelt condolences to the Schrack family.

I have many fond memories of working with Tom. Tom gave me both business and life lessons that will be with me always.
