Mary (Klostermeyer) Goette, age 103, died November 23, 2017 in Bellevue, Nebraska. Born March 20, 1914 in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of William and Frances Klostermeyer. Mary was a "cradle roll' lifetime member of the Castelar Presbyterian Church and resided in the Omaha, NE area her entire life. Mary was one of nine children, having six brothers and two sisters. She was an amazing caretaker to everyone including caring for her sister and mother early in her adult life.

Mary found love with William A. "Bill" Goette later in life, while riding the bus to work, and they were married June 26, 1965. Bill had four children from a previous marriage that Mary enjoyed spending time with through the years. Although Mary never had any children of her own, she was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many nieces and nephews and their families.

Mary worked during World War II at the Martin Bomber Plant making parts for the planes. She later worked at Jubilee Manufacturing until she retired. Through the years she kept busy by sewing dresses, clothing and quilts for herself and her extended family. She also loved making hundreds of cross stitched art pieces for family and friends for special occasions, Christmas cards or just projects to keep herself busy while Bill was watching boxing. Mary and Bill enjoyed traveling to many states and countries while visiting family and friends along the way.

Bill died in 1999, but Mary still kept her independence while relying on her family members to travel with or drive her places. She loved her church and enjoyed serving as a Deacon and as Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sisters, two nieces, four nephews, stepchildren, step grandson, and numerous extended family members.

Surviving are eight nieces and seven nephews and their families, stepchildren and their families, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Klostermeyer family for future designation or to a charitable organization of your own choosing in honor of Mary.
