Gerald L. Youngs, 74

Gary was a dedicated employee of Bakers Supermarkets for 41 years before retirement. He enjoyed his service to the community as the local "Candy Man" giving suckers to children during his career. Gary was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy aboard the US Midway during the Vietnam War. He will be fondly remembered for his loyalty to his family, his appreciation for nickel ante poker, couponing and the outdoors.

Preceded in death by parents Howard and Katherine Youngs; brother; Jerald Youngs; sister Linda Lowther; son-in-law John Ptacek.

Survived by wife Evelyn; daughter Patricia Ptacek; sons Michael Youngs and Mark Youngs (Renee); grandchildren Jessica (Jim), Anthony (Olivia), Evan, Bryce, Jason, Sophie, and Shyla; great grandchildren Evelyn and Mara; sister Carol Schleichardt; brother Robert Youngs; brothers-in-law Eugene Lowther and Nick Mraz (Connie).
