Alberta Lopez Alba, age 92, of Columbus, Indiana passed away Friday afternoon January 5, 2018 at Brown County Health and Living. She was a member of St. Agnes Church Nashville, IN and a Brown County resident for forty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Abdias Lawrence Alba; her daughter Kathleen Mickolafsky; her parents Felix and Sally Lopez of Omaha, Nebraska; her siblings, Sam, Phil, Val, and Ralph Lopez, and Esther Dunsmore; and sons-in-law Merrill R. Johnson and James Ivan Bush.

She was born March 17, 1925 in Omaha. She is survived by her remaining siblings Helen Gonzales, Bea Nickels, Eleanor Harms, and Jim Lopez; her sister-in-law Mercedes Alba and Agatha Ramirez all of Omaha, NE.

She is also survived by her children Rita Alba Johnson of Papillion, NE, and Barbara Alba Bush of Nashville, IN; son-in-law John Mickolafsky of Las Vegas, NV; and her grandchildren Michael Johnson, Steven Johnson and Deborah Johnson all of Omaha NE, Abdias Alba of Nashville, IN, Katie Mickolafsky of S. Portsmouth, KY, Phillip Mickolafsky and Jennifer Bush Hallgrath of Indianapolis, IN; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
