Georgia and family: I received this information via e-mail and wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family during this difficult time. Saying goodbye to one's mother leaves an empty hole that is different from all the other losses we must endure. The only loss I found more difficult than this one was when I lost my daughter. Please be assured that many are praying for you; cling to family; and remember all the really "good" memories you were able to make. Be happy you had her for so long.

I can see that Gladys spent a long full life and a good share of that life was spent along the Platte River at Sokol Camp. I have very fond memories of those times. Her warm welcoming spirit will be missed by those of us who grew up as river rats. Thanks for the good times, Gladys.
